About Jeremy D. Raincrow
Jeremy has been with the Firm since 2012 and became a Partner in 2020. He specializes in patent procurement in the fields of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and biotechnology. He has over a decade of experience in patent drafting and prosecution of both domestic and foreign patent applications. His skills extend to protecting trade secrets, conducting landscape analysis, and providing freedom-to-operate, patentability and non-infringement opinions.
Jeremy has an extensive scientific background allowing him to easily converse with his clients. While a graduate student at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, he worked in a molecular evolution lab, where he conducted the first population genetic study in vertebrates on enhancer elements of development genes conserved across all animal phylogenies. He also collaborated with other labs on projects including discovering the role of SIP30 in the development and maintenance of pain and developing a DNA transposon useful for integrating genes into host DNA. Jeremy also was fortunate enough to teach an evolution lab over several years where he helped develop and advance the curriculum.
Jeremy has been admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
